SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital and Saint Louis University School of Medicine are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our growing faculty team. Position Highlights
Clinical Practice
- 100% clinical anesthesiology position
- Full spectrum of anesthesiology care including:
- Cardiac Surgery
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Trauma
- ENT
- Interventional Radiology
- Liver Cases
- Endoscopy
- Additional complex tertiary and quaternary care procedures
- High-acuity patient population with excellent multidisciplinary support
Academic Opportunities
- Faculty appointment commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Teach and mentor residents and medical students
- Participate in didactic sessions, simulation training, and resident education
- Opportunities to engage in scholarly and academic activities
- Play an integral role in one of the region's established anesthesiology training programs
Schedule & Call
- Approximately 50-hour work week
- Typical 10-hour clinical shifts
- Collaborative scheduling model designed to support physician wellness
- Later clinical shifts receive "first out" status the following day
- Approximately 13 weekday call shifts annually
- Approximately 11 weekend call shifts annually
- Optional 24-hour call opportunities available
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for Missouri medical licensure
- Commitment to excellence in patient care
- Interest in resident education and academic medicine
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach to care
