Medical Director | Full Time | Falls Road Veterinary Hospital | Signing Bonus OfferedFalls Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Medical Director with the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. Serving Potomac, Bethesda, Rockville, Chevy Chase, and the greater Washington, D.C. metro area.
About You
As a key leader in our hospital, you'll drive positive change and growth. Your influence will shape our vision, foster an exceptional culture, and maintain high standards of care. Partnering with the Practice Manager and leadership team, you'll develop strategies, implement improvements, and guide our hospital toward excellence in patient and client care while supporting staff development.
You are a collaborative and compassionate veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others, building strong client relationships, and helping a talented team continue to thrive. You value quality medicine, leadership development, and creating a positive hospital culture where team members and patients receive exceptional care.
Experience & Skills Requirements
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired prior to their start date.
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
• Strong general practice medical and surgical skills.
• Leadership experience preferred, or demonstrated interest in hospital leadership and mentorship.
• Ability to support, develop, and mentor associate veterinarians and support staff.

About The Hospital
Falls Road Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, multi-doctor small animal practice providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats throughout Potomac and the surrounding Washington D.C. metro area. Our services include preventive care, wellness exams, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, vaccinations, parasite prevention, grooming, and daycare services.
The hospital currently features a collaborative team of veterinarians and experienced support staff dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality veterinary medicine. Our doctors have interests spanning internal medicine, preventive care, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and client education, creating an excellent environment for collaboration and professional growth.
Falls Road Veterinary Hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care while maintaining strong relationships with our clients and community.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with quarterly PROSAL bonuses, an annual Medical Director Stipend, and increased production percentages. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Plus, no negative accrual.
